This sentimental piece of jewellery for mum is handmade in sterling silver and designed to celebrate treasured moments shared by the sea. A mother and child walk hand in hand across the warm sand, leaving behind a trail of golden footprints that shimmer softly in the light. It’s a quiet, heartfelt reminder of early steps, gentle guidance and the simple joy of exploring the shoreline together.

The silhouette artwork is detailed with 22ct gold vermeil to highlight the footprints and golden sand. For an added splash of colour, the optional blue enamel sky brings a soft coastal glow inspired by summer evenings by the water.

Available in two sizes, a smaller, delicate pendant and a longer rectangular version, both designed to sit beautifully on the chest and keep cherished memories close.

How It’s Made

Each necklace is handcrafted in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter using traditional etching techniques to bring the silhouette artwork to life. The golden footprints and sand are carefully highlighted with 22ct gold vermeil, applied by hand to bring warmth and depth to the scene. The optional blue enamel sky is baked onto the silver to create a smooth, colourful finish reminiscent of coastal sunsets.

Engraving & Personalisation

Selected versions of this necklace can be engraved on the reverse with initials, a date or a short message. Engraving adds a personal touch without altering the silhouette artwork, making your necklace an even more meaningful gift for mum.
